Dr. Liz Snyder for Alaska

From August to November 2020, I worked for Dr. Liz Snyder's campaign for Alaska House Representative in Anchorage, Alaska's District 27.

With a team from Tech for Campaigns, we quickly focused our efforts on fundraising and increasing voter turnout. We surpassed our fundraising goal by $25,000, out raised any other legislator and Dr. Liz Snyder won the district from a ten-year incumbent.

I had the opportunity to work with Maggie Tyson on Alaska's most critical legislative race. Maggie provided strategic support that drove our fundraising effort through the end of the campaign and during a pandemic, when in-person traditional fundraising events were off the table. 

Maggie immediately picked up the right tone for the campaign and hit the ground running. I knew I could count on her to do her research and turn out high quality content, even for extremely complex issues.

Maggie turned our fundraising around. We hit a lull when the pandemic hit, and we were worried we wouldn't hit our goals. As soon as Maggie came on board, we started blowing those goals out of the water.

From the first meeting, our all-female campaign team knew that Maggie was the perfect fit. She's reliable, enormously talented, hilarious, and I would work with her again in a second.

Sugarfina

Sugarfina came to me in early 2020 needing a new copywriter for their holiday campaigns and product launches.

I’ve worked on copy for their email sequences, landing page and homepage copy, product naming and packaging copy, and their blog.

It was one sweet project! 

Karitè Shea Butter

Karitè Shea Butter is a women-owned skincare company out of New York City.

Owned by three sisters who use organic ingredients from their home country of Ghana, Karitè is bringing high-quality shea butter hand cream and body butters to the States. 

Now stocked nationwide, Karité wanted to connect with their loyal audience through value-add blog posts and monthly email newsletters.

I worked with them on a content strategy that answered their customers’ common questions and shared sales and company updates.

The Therapy Studio

St. Louis–based psychotherapist Tina Cummings is the founder of The Therapy Studio, a creative and progressive space for mental health counseling for women and teen girls.

She needed copy that spoke directly to her ideal audience of millennial and Gen Z women. She needed to come across as both relatable and authoritative while maintaining the ethics she’s bound to in her profession. 

I worked with Tina on developing her brand’s voice and wrote conversion copy that resonates with her ideal clients.
